Prince's Sister Defends Justin Timberlake Following Super Bowl Halftime Show Controversy

The pop singer performed in Mexico on Monday night and hit the gym after the show, he boasted to fans on social media. Googling something urgent? Or, indeed, just waiting for that golden selfie moment?. Adequate, teetering on forgettable.

On Tonight Show, Timberlake also addressed the technical aspects of the halftime tribute. He already had four-quadrant appeal, from his days in a boy band to the street cred he earned working with Pharrell and Clipse to his acting career to that insufferable song from Trolls that every child under 10 knows by heart. But the songs, censored and edited down for prime time, felt sanitized.

During his 13-minute halftime act at U.S. Bank Stadium, Timberlake reeled off his array of hits and paid tribute to Minneapolis rock legend Prince by projecting video of him from the movie "Purple Rain" onto a large sheet as a bit of Prince's "I Would Die 4 U" played. "This was insane, like this was crazy that I got to meet him and get a picture with him, because he's awesome".

As USA Today pointed out, Timberlake mocked Prince in public at the 2007 golden globes by taking a hit at the 5 foot 2 singer's height.

Wi-Fi usage at last night's game is also thought to have broken records, but no official numbers on that yet. In both places, the suicide rate fell to about half the previous rate after these policies were put in place. It's really not that complicated. He has a great catalogue of music. He put on an entertaining, if cheesy show.

In my work with parents of suicidal youth, we have these difficult discussions - about firearms, medications and sharp instruments.

But he said importantly that if the White House makes any redactions to the Democratic memo, he wants the administration to come in and explain to the committee itself why they're making those.

And I say that as a fan of Timberlake in general.

However, the halftime show's biggest moment came not from Timberlake, but a humble kid in the stands. Mashable even called him "the best part of the Super Bowl halftime show".
