Police 'looking for second woman connected to Stephen Paddock — Las Vegas shooting

Since Sunday night, details about the shooting at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival have trickled out slowly.

Citing anonymous law enforcement officials, NBC News reported that investigators are seeking the mystery woman to help them construct a timeline of the days leading up to the attack. "We had no idea where to go". The outlet also noted that 400,000 people, including Malia Obama, attended the event in total over four days. "Anything that would indicate this individual's trigger point, that would cause him to do such harm, we haven't understood it yet".

Paddock was found dead inside the room by the time a SWAT team breached the hotel door with an explosive at 11:20 p.m.

CNN reports that Paddock left behind a note before committing suicide. That question remains unanswered.

Separately, Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said on Wednesday that Paddock had rented several Airbnb rooms in Vegas' downtown district that corresponded with the "Life is Beautiful " music festival. Nearly 25 were at the hotel room in Mandalay Bay Hotel. The wounded guard stayed in place to help police despite his injuries.

It was business as usual.

Police found a note they believe was written by Paddock, Lombardo said.
