Sanchez not for sale — Wenger

PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has also recommenced dialogue with the representative of Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez after initially cooling their interest. On previous occasions they have cashed in on the likes of Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie.

You don't often see 67-year-old men sporting bright red shoes with a football club's badge on the tongue but Wenger is no regular 67-year-old. The team went on to do quite well after all those games so there was a reaction.

For me it will be a change because it was a bit eternal, a repetition of the press conferences about that (his contract). This is next level stuff from Arsene Wenger. "He has done a lot for us", the defender said, via the Daily Mail.

"We are very active in the transfer market and have already realised two incomings". Mertesacker and Giroud were sick. Second-half substitutes Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott reportedly felt sick as well. I don't know what they ate'.

A double-swoop hasn't been ruled out, with the French heavyweights 9/1 to land both players this summer.

Plus, hey, we won the Shanghai Cup! We had to dig deep and think we will benefit from it'.

Arsenal are looking to further bolster their squad as they prepare for the new season as they look to challenge for the title next term.

The main focus for us is to concentrate on the Premier League and the Premier League for me today is more important than the Champions League.

However, Wenger did go on to add, "Does it have other advantages?" The bonding is easier because we live together for two weeks.

"But the real answer will be given by the way we start in the championship".

Noises coming out of Monaco in recent days have suggested that Chelsea midfielder Bakayoko could be their last key departure this summer.

Sanchez scored once against PSG last season.
